"V - Handmade"

Valtida Shukriu, born in Zagreb in 1985, raised in the Shukriu family in the city of Prizren. Valtida completed her law studies in Prishtina at the Public University, Hasan Prishtina. In addition to her professional work as a lawyer, she has a special passion in the cultural heritage of the city of Prizren, especially in the doors and windows of old houses.

In 2017 she launched the platform @Prizren'doorsandwindows on social networks, this platform presents photographs of existing antique doors and windows of this city. Furthermore, in 2019, Valtida published her first catalog, "DOORS", of 24 old doors of Prizren dating from the XVIII-XIX century. In 2020 "T’pres N’ Dere N’Dritare", the first public presentation of the installation of the old doors and windows of the city, is performed by Valtida. In addition to all this, Valtida is passionate about the creativity of the art of making jewelry, starting from 2009, with the creation of pendants from torn thin socks of women, recycling and essentially producing beautiful accessories.
